Flower

My first attempt at using the macro function on my camera to photograph this flower. The only adjustments with photoshop were trimming it and clone-stamping out a cobweb that detracted from it.

A very nice shot, esp for a first macro attempt! Have you tried the "shadow highlight" function in PS? Do you have PSCS2? It would really help pull in more detail in the petals and loose a bit of the flare I think, and a bit of an edge burn to soften the distracting background. Just a thought at least, I am always looking for a way to improove everything, lol, it's my job in the real world.... (PSCS2 junkie/geek) anyway, great stuff here, I am really enjoying your photography. It is crisp, clean, imtimate, and you have a great eye for composition. Your images are interesting and leave the viewer wanting more, super!

Hi Cyndie, I do have CS2 so I will have a go at using that function over the weekend. Thanks for the tip.
